Gold rings are also easier to resize.
RING SIZE:
You need to know the ring size of your significant other, you can go to any jewelry shop and get the ring finger measured. This is the most accurate and recommended method. If you are planning a surprise, you can discreetly borrow one of her old rings to get this measured at a jewelry store as well.
There are various apps you can download on your phone to help determine the ring size as well like Ring Sizer. This could help you determine the ring size, however, from our experience, these apps are not very accurate. So we do recommend using these apps as a last resort.

Generally, a ‘ready-made’ ring will have a lower upfront cost than a custom-made ring. A ready-made ring doesn’t have to pay for new CAD and Resin/Wax Mold when making a new ring. The added costs for these two items usually come up to around US$200 to US$400 more in Bangkok, Thailand. In the Western world, this cost is a lot higher as labor charges are higher.
Though this might seem like high upfront costs. In general, when you add other costs in making the ring. – Like a center diamond, gemstones, and metals costs. – The custom-making ring costs will only be an additional 5% to 10% of total costs. Of course, the added benefit of this additional cost is making the special ring for your one and only ‘special’ person.
